The vault screener toolbox — part 2: VaultVision, the one built for vaults

VaultVision is the most purpose-built tool for screening and comparing Hyperliquid vaults specifically — risk-adjusted, with a genuinely useful overlay. Here's what it does, where to stay critical, and how it compares to the Altcopy leaderboard.

If you want to screen and compare Hyperliquid vaults specifically — not perp wallets, not whales, but vaultsVaultVision is the most purpose-built tool out there. I've recommended it before, so it earns the first deep look among the third-party tools.

What it does

VaultVision is a dedicated vault scanner. Its core is a risk-adjusted leaderboard with TVL, APR, recent return, max drawdown, a proprietary risk score, and an "entry context" label — and it lets you sort by risk before you chase APR. The standout is the overlay: pick 2–4 vaults and it plots their normalized NAV (base 100) side by side with aligned KPIs — the exact head-to-head this blog does by hand in its reviews, but live. It also shows capacity/concentration/HLP context, filters by deposit state, and offers alerts on whale flow and risk changes.

Where to stay critical

Two caveats. The risk score is VaultVision's own black box — a useful summary, but treat it as one input and check the components (drawdown, age, concentration) yourself. And it's a screener, not a curator: it shows you the field with good filters but doesn't tell you "for whom," doesn't strip out dormant or funded-illusion vaults by default, and doesn't hand you a finished basket.

vs. the Altcopy leaderboard

The honest summary: VaultVision gives you better tools to do the work; the Altcopy leaderboard does more of the work for you. Its overlay is the best quick way to put a few vaults side by side — better than ours at that one task. But it leaves the verdict to you, while our board leads with transparent flags and ends at a curated basket. Complements: screen and overlay on VaultVision, sanity-check against our flags.

Use any third-party tool read-only — type the URL yourself, paste only a public address, never connect a wallet you don't have to, never enter a seed phrase. Not an endorsement; verify before you trust.
